Qualifications

Solid Utility/Energy Industry Experience
Experience in at least four of the following areas:

Consulting
Project Management
Strategy
Finance and Planning
Operations Analysis
IT systems integration and implementation

Degree in engineering, business, finance, or economics; advanced degree preferred, especially an MBA
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
Competence in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Solid leadership experience

IT Project Manager Position

We are seeking a candidate to fill an immediate project opportunity to manage an IT systems deployment and integration project for an electric utility. The role will involve:

Interacting with multiple stakeholder groups, including Operations, IT, Finance, Customer Service, Billing, and the Field
Managing system implementation and utility application interfaces.
Acting as a liaison with one or more subcontractors/vendors responsible for key project activities
Project coordination including schedule maintenance, project status reporting, inventory and cost management, contingency planning and other administrative activities.

Qualifications:

Systems integration experience
Project management ability
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills
Minimum 5-10 years of project experience in the electrical utility industry
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Degree in IT, engineering, business
Consulting experience a plus

Project characteristics are:

Initial project duration is approximately one year
Located at a client site on the East coast 4 to 5 days a week
