Qualifications
- Solid Utility/Energy Industry Experience
- Experience in at least four of
the following areas:
- Consulting
- Project Management
- Strategy
- Finance and Planning
- Operations Analysis
- IT systems integration and implementation
- Degree in engineering, business, finance, or economics; advanced degree
preferred, especially an MBA
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Competence in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Solid leadership experience

IT Project Manager Position
We are seeking a candidate to fill an immediate project opportunity to manage
an IT systems deployment and integration project for an electric utility.
The role will involve:
- Interacting with multiple stakeholder groups, including Operations, IT,
Finance, Customer Service, Billing, and the Field
- Managing system implementation and utility application interfaces.
- Acting as a liaison with one or more subcontractors/vendors responsible
for key project activities
- Project coordination including schedule maintenance, project status reporting,
inventory and cost management, contingency planning and other administrative
activities.
Qualifications:
- Systems integration experience
- Project management ability
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills
- Minimum 5-10 years of project experience in the electrical utility industry
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Degree in IT, engineering, business
- Consulting experience a plus
Project characteristics are:
- Initial project duration is approximately one year
- Located at a client site on the East coast 4 to 5 days a week
